Electronics and Communications Engineering


Dream Institute of Technology established Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2006 with a vision to impart industry-oriented education in this field. The Department had an initial intake of 60 students for B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering Programme. The course is affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) formerly known as WBUT and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Since inception, the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering has focused in research and innovation to drive quality knowledge acquisition in this field. Currently, the intake of B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering in Dream Institute of Technology is 120 students. The Department also offers Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Microelectronics & VLSI Design with an intake of 18 students under postgraduate program.

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering comprises experienced faculty who are actively engaged to impart quality knowledge to the aspiring Electronics and Communication Engineers through various innovative teaching-learning methodologies to make them industry-ready and competent human resources to drive growth in this field.

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering encourages the students to explore beyond their prescribed University curriculum and develop a holistic personality that is compatible for the emerging career opportunities. This Department has state-of-the-art laboratories in the areas of Embedded System, VLSI design, Analogue Electronics, Communication, RF & Microwave and Digital Signal Processing etc.

The students are encouraged and guided to do various innovative projects on recent technologies and trends to have a better grasp of acquired knowledge and also to be familiar with the current developments in the field of engineering. The B.Tech Electronics and Engineering students of Dream Institute of Technology are continuously groomed and developed during the span of four years to excel in higher studies and research.
