OBJECTIVE OF MATHEMATICS DEPARTMENT

The DEPATMENT OF MATHEMATICS was established in 2006 and has senior and experienced faculty together with young, dynamic faculty members. The department teaching facilitirs with teaching experience upto 24 years. The department has one Professor and Assistant professors with Doctorate and Master Degrees with specialisation in Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and Applied Statistics.

The objective of our department is to provide strong mathematical foundation with utmost effort in order to build blocks of all the streams of engineering fields, namely, Computer Science, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Electronics and Communication engineering. We also teach very essential subjects of M.Tech. which are undoubtedly essential for those Master degree students. We teach some special subjects for Computer Science students like Discrete mathematical and Graph Theory. A good number of Computer Science students are opting for mathematical subjects as their electives in higher semesters.

Highlights of subjects in 1st Semester: Improper integral, Beta and Gamma function, Volumes and surfaces, Vector space, Eigen values and vectors, Sequence, Fourier series, Jacobian and Homogenous function, Maxima and Minima, Gradient, Divergence and Curl, Linear transformation, Inner product space.

Highlights of subjects in 2nd Semester (CSEngg.): Probability Theory, Discrete distribution, Joint distribution with Chebyshev’s Inequality, Continuous distribution, Basic Statistics, Curve fitting, Sampling and est of hypothesis.

Highlights of subjects in 2nd Semester (non-CSEngg.): Multivariate calculus, Complex analysis.
