Electronics Communication



Electronics and Communication Engineering Department was established in the year 2006 with an initial intake of 60 students for Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), erstwhile WBUT. During the inception of this institute, the department was established for imparting state-of-the-art education and preparation in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The Department has been actively engaged in teaching and research in its field. Currently, the department is offering Bachelor of Engineering (BE) with an intake of 120 students and Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Microelectronics & VLSI Design with an intake of 18 students under postgraduate program.

The department is comprised of experienced faculties from eminent institutions of the country like Indian Institute of Technology (IIT’s), National Institute of Technology (NIT’s), Calcutta University (West Bengal), and Jadavpur University (West Bengal). The faculties are actively engaged to impart better knowledge to the students through various methodologies to make them industry-ready as well as motivating them to be a good human being.

The department gives exposure to its students, not only the regular Engineering curriculum but also strives to inculcate a professional attitude in them. The department has state-of-the-art laboratories in the areas of Embedded System, VLSI design, Analog Electronics, Communication, RF & Microwave and Digital Signal Processing etc. The students are encouraged and guided to do various innovative projects on recent technologies and trends to have a better grasp of acquired knowledge and also to be familiar with the current things happening around the world of engineering.

The students are continuously groomed and developed over the four years to excel in higher studies and research.
